KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Campbellsville University's junior pitcher, Victoria Decker, has been named a member of the 2015 Softball All-American Second Team as selected today by the NAIA All-America selection committee.
Decker (19-5) ended the season with a 1.71 ERA in 167 innings pitched, recording 116 strikeouts. Her work helped CU to a 38-11 overall record (22-2 MSC) and the team's third outright Mid-South Conference regular season championship.
She was also named the Mid-South Conference's Pitcher of the Year earlier this season.
Throughout her career, the Leitchfield, Ky. native has thrown 498.2 innings and allowed only 121 earned runs. She ranks 21st in NAIA Division I in earned run average (1.710), 19th in innings pitched per game (5.988), and 23rd in Division I in wins (19).
Auburn Montgomery's senior Cassie Jones was named the NAIA Player of the Year and junior Nicole Nonnemacher of Saint Xavier (Ill.) is honored as the NAIA Pitcher of the Year. The All-America teams are comprised of First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention selections.
