MOBILE, Ala. - Nearly every Campbellsville University women's tennis player closes her season by receiving a top national honor by the NAIA or NCCAA, as both organizations have announced their All-America teams. Lady Tiger tennis' No. 2 singles player,
Megan Charity, receives the highest honor, being selected as an NAIA All-America honorable mention, the national office announced this week.
Charity, a freshman from South Africa, was also named a First Team NCCAA All-American along with No. 1 singles player
Anna Tumanyan. The duo, which pair up for No. 1 doubles, helped lead Campbellsville to its first-ever NCCAA national semifinal appearance on May 10 in Mobile.
"Megan has made a great impact in her first season of competition. She is a very hard worker and has been working tirelessly transitioning her game to the U.S. college system," said CU head coach Kyle Caven. "Being a coachable player has allowed her to excel at the mid-point of the season until the end. Megan is going to have a great career here."
Also receiving NCCAA All-America honors were Second Team selections Lindy Charity, Kristen Hamrick and Jenna Sallee. Tumanyan was named to the NCCAA All-Tournament Team as a singles player.

Off the court,
Melanie Jones was recognized for her academics both as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete and an NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.
"Being a Scholar Athlete is a big honor as you are required to not only play your season but be successful in the classroom as well. This honor is one of my favorites to see our athletes receive because that hard work shows the diligence they will need in their careers after tennis," Caven said.
