Lady Tigers blank West Virginia Tech

Box Score Campbellsville University spread its offense around Saturday to down West Virginia Tech, 4-0, for its eighth shutout of the season.

Megan Campbell, last week's Mid-South Conference Player of the Week, opened the Lady Tigers' scoring with a goal assisted by Kelsey Mandel and then turned around to assist Ashley Corum to give Campbellsville a 2-0 lead.

Freshman Bailey McDonough scored her first career goal and the Lady Tigers' third goal with an assist by Rebekah Carl, while the fourth goal came on another freshman connection from Audra Hockenberger to Jessica Ralph. The duo now have 16 goals and eight assists between the two of them.

The win keeps Campbellsville (9-5, 4-2 MSC) in third place in the Mid-South with two conference games remaining. The Lady Tigers will host Georgetown College at Finley Stadium on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m., and then travel to Shawnee State University Oct. 23 to round out its MSC schedule.
