Box Score McKENZIE, Tenn. -- Campbellsville University's defense protected a first half lead Wednesday as the Lady Tigers swiped a 2-1 victory on the road at Bethel University.
The Lady Tigers faced 12 shots, six on goal, in the final 45 minutes and did not allow a goal, as Campbellsville improved to 9-4 on the year.
Brandie Hagerman recorded the win in the net with eight saves.
Cassise Yannelli scored the go-ahead and eventual game winner in the 37th minute after Bethel evened the score in the 24th minute on a goal by Rachel Rathbone, assisted by Melissia Madden. Megan Campbell scored the first Lady Tiger goal in the fifth minute, her 35th career goal and 11th of the season.
CU had only seven shots, but placed four of those on target and scored two - one of its best shooting percentages of the season.
Campbellsville (9-4, 2-1 MSC) will travel to the University of Pikeville on Saturday for a Mid-South Conference game at 8 p.m. ET.
