Box Score

RIO GRANDE, Ohio — Kailene Allis scored her first career goal to punctuate a 3-0 Lady Tiger Soccer win over Rio Grande Saturday evening, moving CU into third place in the MSC.

"It was good to get another shutout, especially to a conference team," said Coach Thom Jones. "I'm happy that we finished strong and scored three goals in the second half."

Allis, a freshman from Norton, Ohio, scored in the 85th minute after Alex Shafer and Toria Alsip each netted their fourth goals of the season to stake the Lady Tigers to a 2-0 lead.

Shafer, a sophomore from LaGrange, Ky. unknotted a scoreless game in the 63rd minute and Alsip, a junior from Cincinnati, Ohio, booted in an insurance score in the 73rd minute. Alsip'ss goal was unassisted, but Shafer got an assist from Bailey McDonough and Allis from Jessica Ralph.

The win moves CU into sole possession of third place in the MSC at 6-2 — all shutout victories with Brandie Hagerman in net. Campbellsville is 8-6-1 overall.

Campbellsville outshot Rio 21-3 with 11 CU shots being on goal. Hagerman had three saves and Allison Keeney of Rio had eight.

The Lady Tigers will hold Senior Night Tuesday at 6:00 when Cedarville University (5-8-2) comes to town.
