RIO GRANDE, Ohio – It took a bit to get going, but Campbellsville University collected another 5-0 shutout win Saturday at the University of Rio Grande.
CU scored its first two goals in the final 10 minutes of the first half and then added three more in the final 17 minutes of the game.

"We started off slow in both halves but finished strong. It wasn't our best game, but we finished when we had to so I am pleased with our win," CU head coach Thom Jones said.
Carson Cline scored her first career goal in the 36th minutes to put the Lady Tigers on the board and Rachel Veatch extended the lead to 2-0 in 43rd minute. Both goals were unassisted.
Mhairi Fyfe tied her single-season high with her 14th goal of the year in the 74th minute to spark CU's offense in the second half. Veatch added her second goal of the game in the 78th minute off an assist by Madison Ratchford. Ratchford added an unassisted goal in the 82nd minute.
Amanda Howard had three saves in the win for her fifth consecutive shutout and sixth of the season.
Campbellsville (10-6) is on a five-game shutout streak in October since losing its first game of the month, 1-0, at Cedarville University on Oct. 4. CU is outscoring opponents 26-1 during its six October games.
The Lady Tigers will travel to Asbury University on Oct. 30 for its final non-conference game. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. EDT.
