Women's Soccer has six named NAIA Scholar-Athlete

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 588 women's soccer student-athletes have been named 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, officials released on Friday.

Campbellsville had six student-athletes be named NAIA Scholar-Athletes –Devon Burnside, Morgan Danis, Chelsea Gill, Jade Perry, Kathryn Thomas and Rachel Veatch.

In order to be nominated by an institution's sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

Goshen (Ind.) led all programs with 14 individuals on the list.

Campbellsville had the best season in program history. The Lady Tigers advanced to the NAIA National Tournament for the first time and finished with a record of 19-3.
