Regular season comes to a close with Women’s Soccer hosting rival Lindsey Wilson

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville women's soccer team wraps up its regular-season schedule on Wednesday night at it hosts Lindsey Wilson College in the Battle of Highway 55 starting at 6 p.m. ET at Finley Stadium.
 
The Lady Tigers bring in a four-match winning streak and they are now 6-9-1 on the season. Campbellsville currently has a half-game lead over the Blue Raiders for second in the MSC standings. The Lady Tigers enter the week with a 4-1-1 record and Lindsey Wilson is 4-2-0 in conference action.
 
The winner of Wednesday's match will earn the second seed in the Mid-South Conference Tournament that begins next week at Warren Central High School in Bowling Green, Ky.
 
Campbellsville picked up a 3-0 win on the road over Shawnee State University during its last match to move up a spot in the conference standings. Makayla Shearer scored two of the goals in the match, including the game-winning goal in the 37th minute. Amanda Howard made a pair of saves to record her 30th career shutout.
 
On the season, the Lady Tigers have nine different players with at least a goal and six individuals have scored at least three times. Rachel Blumfeldt leads all Campbellsville goal scorers with 10 goals and 21 points this season. Shearer is second on the team with six goals, coming on just seven shots on goal and 10 total shots.
 
Lindsey Wilson comes into the match with an overall mark of 6-5-3 and it lost its last match at home to University of the Cumberlands, 2-0. The Blue Raiders have just two individuals with 10 points. Emelie Liljered has scored five goals and Amara Safuan has four goals and two assists. Jovana Ivanovic has allowed 14 goals in 12 matches this season, making 51 saves and recording three shutouts.
 
In last year's meeting, Lindsey Wilson defeated Campbellsville, 2-0, which started a four-match skid for the Lady Tigers. Campbellsville has lost all 22 meetings to the Blue Raiders, where the Lady Tigers have scored just two goals in the all-time series.
 
Opening kick is set for 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday night from Finley Stadium.
