Women’s Soccer travels to Indiana to face Indiana Wesleyan and No. 22 Taylor on Friday and Saturday

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville women's soccer team is back on the road this weekend to face Indiana Wesleyan University on Friday and No. 22 Taylor University on Saturday.
 
The Lady Tigers face the Wildcats in Marion, Indiana on Friday starting at 4 p.m. ET, and Campbellsville then faces the Trojans at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday in Upland, Ind.
 
Campbellsville has struggled out to start its 2017 campaign as it suffered losses in each of its first two games. Rachel Blumfeldt has scored the only goal of the season for the Lady Tigers. Blumfeldt scored in the 20th minute in Campbellsville's 2-1 overtime loss at home against University of Rio Grande earlier this week.
 
During the first two games of the season, the Lady Tigers have outshot their opponents, 31-30, but Campbellsville has only been able to generate 16 shots on target, compared to 19 shots on goal from the opposition.
 
Amanda Howard has made 15 saves this season, while surrendering two goals in each of the first two games. Howard recorded seven saves during the season opener at Trinity International University, and notched eight saves against the Red Storm this past Tuesday.
 
Indiana Wesleyan comes into the contest on Friday afternoon with a record of 2-0 after beating Rio Grande, 7-0, and Indiana University East, 2-1. Tia Sanford has led the Wildcats this season with three goals and an assist. Alex Seabeck has been the main goalkeeper for Indiana Wesleyan this season surrendering just one goal, while making six saves.
 
Taylor picked up a victory in their season opener against Lourdes University, 6-0, on the road. Prior to playing the Lady Tigers on Saturday, the Trojans host Roosevelt University on Friday afternoon. Nikki Zaino led Taylor with two goals and an assist during its season opener, while Jourdan Lehman finished with two assists. The Trojans compiled 25 shots during their contest at Lourdes last weekend.
 
In 2016, Campbellsville suffered a 1-0 loss at home to Taylor, where Megan Kammer scored the lone goal of the game in the 80th minute. The last time the Lady Tigers took on Indiana Wesleyan was during the 2014 season, where Campbellsville beat the Wildcats, 3-1.
 
Kickoff for Campbellsville's game on Friday at Indiana Wesleyan is set for 4 p.m. ET and the kickoff on Saturday is slated for 1 p.m. ET against Taylor.
