Walls' two scores clinch No. 4-seed in MSC Tournament as Lady Tigers win 4-1 over Georgetown

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Lakin Walls scored two goals and Campbellsville University women's soccer clinched the No. 4-seed in the Mid-South Conference Tournament with a 4-1 win over Georgetown College. 
 
The Lady Tigers (10-6, 4-3 MSC) dominated the pitch tonight and it showed it total shots, 22-7. Georgetown, which had a chance to steal the No. 4-seed from Campbellsville, falls to 5-10 overall and 2-5 in conference play. 
 
Walls put the Lady Tigers ahead 1-0 late in the first half and Campbellsville never looked back. Coming out of halftime, Walls scored in the 55thminute for her 14thgoal of the season – which is tied for fourth in the single-season. 
 
Molly Hall got into the scoring column in the 61stminute as she rebounded a Walls' penalty kick for her 11thgoal of the year. 
 
Freshman Emma Nilsson followed suit with her second-career goal in the 82ndminute. She headed in a Rachel McWilliams corner kick to put CU ahead, 4-0. 
 
Georgetown spoiled the shutout for Katelyn Young with a goal in the final 30 seconds from Bethany Massey. 
 
Young finished the night with just one save as she had a relatively easy night in goal. 
 
Campbellsville will now return home on Saturday, Oct. 26 to host Cincinnati Christian University for Senior Night. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET and Senior Night will begin approximately at 4:50.
