Hall and Walls earn First-Team, Blumfeldt earns Second-Team All Conference honors

Three Lady Tigers earn All-Conference honors at annual MSC banquet at Corvette Museum

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Lady Tiger soccer has three student-athlete earn First or Second-Team All Mid-South Conference honors, officials announced on Wednesday night at the annual banquet. 
 
Two Lady Tigers earn first-team honors, as Lakin Walls and Molly Hall picked up the honor. Rachel Blumfeldt earned a second-team mention from the conference coaches. 
 
Walls and Hall have both scored 14 goals apiece this season to lead the Lady Tigers and both have become two of the best scorers in the MSC. Walls ranks second in the MSC with 1.78 points per game, while Hall is right behind her in third at 1.71. 
 
Overall, the two are second in the conference with their 14 goals. 
 
Walls has six multi-goal games, including three of those in MSC contests. She scored two goals each against Shawnee State, Pikeville and Georgetown, while also dishing out one assist against Shawnee State and Life. Her five game-winning goals also rank No. 18 in the NAIA. 
 
Hall has a pair of hat tricks this season against Bluefield College and Cincinnati Christian. She also scored two goals against Life and Pikeville. Overall, she has scored 10 goals in the last seven games. 
 
Blumfeldt ranks No. 11 in the MSC with eight goals scored. The sophomore from North Ridgeville, Ohio has one multi-goal game this season – a hat trick against Shawnee State on Oct. 2. She also is tied with Rachel McWilliams for the team-high with five assists and is third with 21 points overall. 
 
The MSC announced that Cumberland University's Rebecca Holloway earned Player of the Year honors after scoring 22 goals and recording nine assists for 53 points on the year. Also, Cumberland's Sarah Haddock was named the Defensive Player of the Year, while Lindsey Wilson's Sina Cavelti and University of the Cumberlands' Alanna Skinner earned Co-Freshmen of the Year honors. 
 
Lastly, Steve Hamilton of Cumberlands was named the MSC Coach of the Year. 
 
The Mid-South Conference Women's Soccer Tournament gets underway at Campbellsville's Finley Stadium and Citizens Bank Field tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. The fourth-seeded Lady Tigers play the night cap at 6:30 p.m. vs. No. 5-seed Life University.
