Lady Tiger soccer opens home portion of schedule on Friday night vs. Bluefield College

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — After a win over Bryan College to start the season 1-0, Lady Tiger soccer will begin its home schedule for 2018 on Friday as Bluefield College comes to town on Friday night. 
 
The Lady Tigers (1-0) and Rams (0-0) kickoff at 7 p.m. ET at Campbellsville's Finley Stadium and Citizens Bank Field. Fans can follow live stats and video via the Campbellsville University Sports Network starting at 6:45. 

Series History:
  • Since 2006 the Lady Tigers are 4-0-1 versus Bluefield College. They have outscored the Rams 15-0 in those five contests.
  • The last meeting between the two teams was a 2-0 Campbellsville win on September 28, 2013.
Tiger Clawz:
  • Campbellsville improved to 4-1 in its last five season openers on Tuesday night.
  • The Lady Tigers are 4-1 in their last five home openers dating back to the 2013 season. They average 4.2 goals per game in those five home openers.
  • Rachel Blumfeldt scored her 12thcareer goal in the win over Bryan College. She had five shots on goal in the season opener and ranks fifth in the country in that category.
Scouting Bluefield:
  • The Rams return their second and third leading scorers from the 2017 season in Cynthia Brown (five goals) and Taylor Bryant (four goals). 
  • They lose their leading scorer in Megan Norton who finished with 17 points on seven goals and three assists. 
  • Amanda Brown was the leader in goal in 2017 finishing with 111 saves and 27 goals allowed for a .804 save percentage and she is also no longer with the Rams. 
Last time out:
  • The Daniel Branley era of Campbellsville Lady Tiger soccer started off with a big win over his alma mater on Tuesday evening as they came away victorious, 2-0.
  • Freshman Hope Sanders scored the first and game winning goal in the 67th minute. She was assisted by Emma Nilsson.
  • Rachel Blumfeldt, the team leader in goals from 2017, gave the Lady Tigers some insurance just eight minutes later in the 75th minute. She was assisted by Claudia Eckstein and Ally Furnish.
  • Sydney Pinkham played a perfect 90 minutes in goal finishing with the clean sheet. She recorded two saves on the only two Lions shots that were on frame.
