No. 9 Tigers improve to 3-0 on the season with dominant wins over Brescia and Ky. Wesleyan

OWENSBORO, Ky. — Ninth-ranked men's tennis dominated its competition with the second and third matches of the season at Brescia University on Saturday night. 
 
The Tigers picked up a 9-0 win over the host Bearcats, while also winning 7-0 over Kentucky Wesleyan College. 
 
Campbellsville (3-0) earned a pair of forfeit wins over Brescia at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles to lead 2-0 from the start. Will True and Blayze O'Keefe won at the top-seeded doubles match, 8-5, while Adrian Sabrojo and Cristian Perez swept their competition, 8-0. 
 
In singles, the Tigers allowed a combined nine points overall to out-score the Bearcats, 60-8. Alberto Perez and Cesar Castor both earned straight set wins to lead CU. 
 
Against Kentucky Wesleyan, the Tigers once again earned a forfeit win at No. 3 doubles to lead early 1-0. Hercilio Cabieses and Alberto Perez earned an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles, while Matus Sevcik and Jonas Seckelmann swept at No. 2 doubles. 
 
In the four singles matches, the Tigers once again dominated. Sevcik earned a straight-set win at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0, while Cabieses did the same at the three-seeded position. 
 
The win improves the ninth-ranked Tigers to 3-0 on the spring and now CU will travel to Bellarmine University for an exhibition match on Saturday, Feb. 16. 

CU gets back into regular season action on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Indiana University Southeast.
