CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The 10
th ranked Tiger men's tennis team earned their second win in as many days Wednesday afternoon against Asbury University by a final score of 5-4 at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex.
A singles victory from
Cristian Perez in the No. 4 spot, who won 6-3, 6-2 over Luiz Hartkopf, was what clinched the fifth point for CU after the Eagles made the team score 4-2 early in singles play.
It was the doubles tandems that helped carry Campbellsville to their win after the three teams of No. 1
Will True and
Blayze O'Keefe (8-5), No. 2 Perez and
Adrian Sabrojo (8-6), and No. 3
Cesar Castro and
Matus Sevcik (8-6) all won their matches.
Sabrojo from the No. 3 singles position was the only other Tigers to win his match in singles play as he cruised by Julian Tellez 6-2, 6-0 for CU's fourth team point.
Campbellsville will continue their home schedule this Saturday when they host Olivet Nazarene University at noon.
