Lady Tiger tennis falls to No. 21 Cumberland in Mid-South Conference Tournament

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — No. 21 Cumberland University ended Campbellsville's run at a Mid-South Conference Women's tennis Championship on Thursday afternoon with a 5-1 win. 
 
The 25th-ranked Lady Tigers were only able to claim one point – a doubles victory at No. 1. The Phoenix took a 2-1 lead after double and then won at Nos. 2, 4 and 6 singles to advance in the tournament. 
 
The 17th-ranked pair of Brenda Aguilar and Bolor Enkhbayar dominated No. 7 Garijo Garrindo and Jessica Hernandez, 8-2. But that was all the Lady Tigers could muster. 
 
CU now expects to earn an at-large bid to the NCCAA National Championship that is scheduled for Monday, May 6 – Friday, May 10.
