BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lady Tigers finished their final round at the Mid-South Conference Championships at the Bowling Green Country Club in fifth place on Wednesday.
CU finished with a final team score of 987 (+123) after the three-round tournament came to an end with University of the Cumberlands taking home the team title at 939 (+75).
Michael Jarman finished with the top overall score in the tournament, finishing at 243 (+27) to tie for 10
th individually. Jarman shot a consistent 81 (+9) in all three rounds of the tournament as her final-round 81 was also the best score by a Lady Tiger on Wednesday.
Kylie Withrow was named to the All-MSC First Team after play concluded and her final championship score of 247 (+31) finished her tied for 12
th. Withrow earned the first team selection after her six-round average score between the three Mid-South Conference events finished at 78.3.
Freshman
Paige Ferguson was the third-best score for CU on the week after finishing up her final round with an 82 (+10), the second-best score for the Lady Tigers in the final round to help her tie for 12
thwith Withrow. Ferguson was a three-stroke average away from earning the conference's Freshman of the Year award as her 83.5 stroke average just fell short of eventual winner Pilar Scenna of Cumberland.
Devany Cope and
Cortney Withrow finished the tournament in a tie for 18
thand in 29
threspectively as both shot their highest scores of the tournament. Cope shot 87 (+15) and Withrow shot 95 (+23) for the second time in three rounds at the Bowling Green Country Club.
