Four CU tennis players named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Between the men's and women's tennis teams at Campbellsville University, four student-athletes received the honor of NAIA Scholar-Athlete for the 2018-19 school year.
 
Brooklyn Harris was the lone member of the women's roster to earn the distinction with Adrian Sabrojo, Alberto Perez, and Hercilio Cabieses from the men's team being named scholar-athletes.
 
In order to be nominated, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, be of at least junior standing and have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer.
 
The Tiger men's tennis team finished their 2018-19 with an NCCAA National Championship for the second-straight season and an appearance in the NAIA Championship Tournament where they lost their opening match against Arizona Christian.
 
Lady Tiger tennis finished with an 8-11 overall team record and an opening round loss in the Mid-South Conference Tournament against Cumberland University.
