KISSIMMEE, Fla. – With their first official contest of the 2020 season coming on Nov. 16, the Campbellsville University women's soccer team earned a 2-1 win over Bob Jones University on Monday afternoon.

It was somewhat of a slow start for the Lady Tigers as they gave up three shots in the fist 13 minutes of the game, including the game's opening goal in the 12
th minute of the game. BJU's Mia Marks was able to beat CU keeper
Katelyn Young after a slight miscommunication in the box by Campbellsville defender for the Bruins to go up 1-0 early.

Campbellsville continued to be limited offensively until the 29
th minute when a pair of substitutes connected when
Milena Derougeur found
Lauryn Martin as Martin finished off a header to tie the game at 1-1.

The score would remain tied heading into halftime as the Lady Tigers continued to carry significant momentum into the end of the half, getting six more shots and two corner kicks before the end of the first 45 minutes of play.

That momentum would continue out of the halftime break as they took five shots and earned two corner kicks before Bob Jones was able to get their first shot of the second half off over 25 minutes into the second half.

Senior
Molly Hall was able to break the tie as she scored in the 73
rd minute, finishing a cross from
Abigail Proctor for Hall's first goal of the season. That goal moved Hall alone into third place all-time on the CU career goals record book, passing Megan Campbell (2008-11), with her 39
th goal in her career as a Lady Tiger.

CU was able to maintain possession for the remainder of the game, keeping the Bruins away from the goal as BJU didn't record a shot for the final 17+ minutes of the game for the Lady Tigers to come out on top.

Up next at the NCCAA Championship Tournament for the Lady Tigers will be their second Pool B match-up when they face Carolina University tomorrow for another 12 p.m. ET kickoff at the Austin-Tindall Sports Complex.
