DANVILLE, Ky. – The (RV) Campbellsville University men's tennis team traveled to face Centre College Wednesday afternoon. They returned to the "W" column with a convincing performance winning 7-2.
Doubles competition kicked the meet off. In the number one spot, the duo of
Jan Stolin and
Satoshi Yamada teamed up for the first time this season and took the match 8-4. Of the three doubles contests, Campbellsville took two with the team of
Hernan Toledo and
Nicolas Andrade also picking up an 8-4 victory.
In the singles matches, the Tigers secured all but one winning five of six.
Jan Stolin was victorious in the one spot with a three-game contest. His fellow Tiger,
Mario Sanchez, also fought back from dropping the opening game to take the final two and win the match.
Hernan Toledo,
Nicolas Andrade, and
Sebastian Toledo all captured successes in just two games.
Next, the Tigers will take on the Indiana University Southeast Grenadiers in New Albany, Indiana. Those matches will begin at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, February 19
th.
