As the second half continued to unfold, several players from both teams received yellow cards, as the foul-heavy action in the match increased. Wilma Gidlof and Julia Ogren each attempted back-to-back shots, blocked by the Grizzlies' defense and saved by their goalie. However, with only five minutes left on the clock, Molly Metcalfe struck Georgia Gwinnett with another goal to extend the Tigers' lead. At the end of the game, the Grizzlies were unable to score, falling to Campbellsville, 2-0.
