PRESTONSBURG, Ky. – The Campbellsville University women's golf team traveled to Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to compete in the NCCAA Mideast Regional Tournament. The Tigers took home the team title, led by three golfers tied for second.
Riley Clark, Hallie Jo Simpson, and Conleigh Wilson finished T2, individually, with a score of +21. With a course par of 70 on 5,942 yards, Clark shot 80 in round one and 81 in round two, Simpson shot 81 in round one and 80 in round two, and Wilson shot 83 in round one and 78 in round two.
The two other Tigers were behind the top three, finishing fifth and sixth place, leaving all Campbellsville golfers finishing in back-to-back fashion. Kennedy Duaghtry shot 86 in round one and 82 in round two, placing fifth with a score of +28. Priya Latchayya shot 85 in round one and 88 in round two, placing sixth with a score of +33.
Campbellsville ended the tournament as a team at +90, while second place was almost 100 strokes behind at +185.
The Tigers will be back on the course at Gibson Bay in Richmond, Kentucky, on October 14th.
