COLUMBIA, Ky. — The (RV) Lady Tigers took the road to close the three-game series against the #11 Lindsey Wilson University Blue Raiders on Friday afternoon. Despite an explosive start from the Campbellsville offense, back-to-back home runs by Lindsey Wilson ultimately cost the Lady Tigers the 6-4 decision in their final regular-season game.
- Catcher Rylee Warner highlighted the Campbellsville offense with a perfect 3-for-3 performance at the plate, tallying two RBIs and a solo home run.
- First baseman Jessie Daniels anchored the defense with a team-high seven putouts, while Korey Harris and Leah Holland each orchestrated the infield with three assists.
- Junior pitcher Leah Holland provided an excellent relief appearance, tossing 2.2 scoreless innings while allowing just a single hit to keep Campbellsville within striking distance.
- The Lady Tigers officially wrap up the 2026 regular season and will be back in action for the Mid-South Conference Tournament next week.
Campbellsville came out strong, applying immediate pressure and loading the bases early in the first inning.
Macy McCoy showcased great plate discipline to reach base via a walk, pushing
Korey Harris home for the game's first run. With a sacrifice fly to left field by
Madison Reed,
Lydia Jones crossed the plate next.
Jessie Daniels then scored following an RBI single to center field by
Rylee Warner, quickly building a 3-0 lead. Lindsey Wilson retaliated in the home half with an RBI single to right field, capitalizing on a Campbellsville error to score an unearned run and cut the deficit to 3-1.
The second inning saw little action, with each team collecting a single hit but neither team scoring. The top of the third inning was short-lived for the Lady Tigers, as they were put away in 1-2-3 style. The Blue Raiders took full advantage during their share of the third inning. After putting two runners on base, Emerson McKinnis launched a three-run home run to center field. She was immediately followed by a solo shot from pinch-hitter Hannah Carter, completing the back-to-back sequence to steal the lead with a massive four-run frame.
Trailing 5-3, Warner was the first batter up in the fourth inning and blasted a solo home run, pulling the Lady Tigers back to within a single run. However, Lindsey Wilson quickly responded with another solo home run of their own by Sam Hartman in the bottom of the fourth, opening the gap on the scoreboard once again to 6-4.
Neither team scored in the final three innings. Junior pitcher
Leah Holland entered the circle in relief and completely shut down the Blue Raiders, tossing 2.2 scoreless frames and allowing just one hit to keep Campbellsville in the fight. The Lady Tigers scattered a few hits down the stretch but were unable to string together the late-inning offense needed to reclaim the upper hand, officially closing the regular season with the hard-fought defeat.
