Amanda Gabehart, a 2007 Campbellsville alumna, was named the head coach for cheerleading and dance on January 1, 2019 as she was promoted from her assistant role for the cheer team and was selected to lead the dance team that will start its first season as a program in 2019-20.

After taking over Cheer in 2019, Gabehart led the Tigers to a fourth place finish at the Mid-South Conference Championships after CU scored 68.7 points in the team competition. 

Gabehart's cheer and dance experience began in 2003 when she coached local teams including All-Star teams at Elite Athletics in Campbellsville. Most recently, she has worked with the middle school and high school programs in the surrounding areas. From 2005-09, she served as the head coach for Elite Athletics Junior Cheerleading squad. In 2017, Gabehart started the dance program at Taylor County Middle School and still continues to serve in the role. 

While competing at Campbellsville, Gabehart was a member of the of the 2007 Mid-South Conference Championship program and cheered for a total of two seasons.Â
