Lawrence enters his fifth season as head coach of the Tiger and Lady Tiger bowling programs.

Most recently, Lawrence helped guide a pair of individuals to high achievements in the 2018-19 seasons. On the men's side, Devon Gunderson was named the Mid-South Conference Bowler of the Year, earning the honor for the first time in the program's history. For the women, Katlyn Hoeh won the Mid-South Conference Championship as an individual for the first individual champion in women's bowling history.

The women's bowling team also qualified for the NAIA Championships in 2019 where they were eliminated in the fourth round.

He guided the Lady Tigers to their first Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship in 2017 after going unbeaten in the conference tournament. 

Lawrence has also been named the Mid-South Conference Women's Bowling Coach of the Year in 2017 and 2018.
