Robert Rupp is entering his first season as a Graduate Assistant for the men's and women's cross country teams for the 2019-20 academic year. Rupp will join Dylan Ford on head coach Hilary Lakes' staff after finishing his running career at Lipscomb University in 2018-19.
Rupp competed for both the cross country and track and field teams at Lipscomb seeing success on both the cross country course and the track. As a freshman, he earned All Atlantic Sun Conference Second Team and All Freshman Team honors for his 14th place finish at the conference championship meet with a time of 25:48.3 in 2015. For track and field, he was a Third Team All-Conference selection in the 3000m steeplechase with a 9:20.08 time at the outdoor championships in 2018.
He is a Rineyville, Ky. native and attended North Hardin High School where he was an All-State performer in 2013, All-Region in 2013 and 2014, and an Academic All-State Honorable Mention.
