ALLISON HORTON: Will more than likely be one of the region's most highly touted players in 2008 after a remarkable freshman season ... Will see time on both sides of the ball, both on the mound and in the Tiger outfield ... Bats/Throws right handed.
 
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007: Had perhaps one of the nation's best freshman campaigns where she appeared in 54 games, starting 53 of them.  Was a two way player as she saw significant time both on the mound and in the outfield ... As a pitcher, Horton compiled an 11-3 overall record with a staunch 2.63 ERA .... Recorded 61 strikeouts in 90.1 innings of work ... Also proved to be one of the Tigers' most reliable hitters as she amassed a .344 batting average in 160 at bats, while her 5 homeruns were good for second on the team ... Was also second on the team with 55 hits ... Recieved All-Conference and All-Region honors, and was an Academic All-American.
 
PERSONAL DATA: A Chemistry Major, Allison Nicole Horton was born on October 11, 1988 and resides in Lanesville, Indianna ... She has one brother, Walker (16) ... Her parents are Jim and Michelle Horton ... Would like to go to Dental School after graduation.
