Lauren Willis enters her third season after being named assistant coach in 2014-15. She played golf at CU for three years (2009-2012) and is transitioning into a professors role within the Human Performance Department at CU. In previous years, Willis was the Central Kentucky/Local Market Admissions Counselor for the university.
As an assistant coach she will handle some of ther off-season conditioning, recruiting, practice and tournaments.
Willis was salutatorian of her Adair County High class and was All Conference for four years and Heartland Conference medalist three years.
She placed in Warren East and Central Hardin Invitationals, and qualified for the state tournament in 2006. She was women's club champion at The Pines for three years.
In college Willis was valedictorian, Who's Who Among Students and summa cum laude. She played the No. 1 and No. 2 spots throughout her career at CU. She was named MSC All Conference, Don Bishop Invitational All Conference and NCCAA Player of the Week several times.
Her freshman year at CU, the Lady Tigers were conference champs.
