Coach Daniel Branley finished his first season at Campbellsville in 2018.
Branley was hired on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018 and led the Lady Tigers to a 14-10 record in his first season. He turned the atmosphere around in 2018 and Campbellsville's offense went from sixth in the Mid-South Conference to first with 81 goals.
Lakin Walls earned NAIA All-American honors and was named a CoSIDA Academic All-American after a stellar junior season. She was second on the team with 20 goals, while Molly Hall had a spectacular second-half of the season and led CU with 21 goals.
Branley led the Lady Tigers back to the postseason with an NCCAA National Championship appearance.
Branley makes Campbellsville his home after a stellar playing and coaching career at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee.
In the last couple seasons as an assistant for the Bryan College men’s and women’s programs, Branley has helped lead the Lions to an Appalachian Athletic Conference Regular Season in 2015 and the men’s program backed that up with a 16-3-3 record in 2016 to earn their fourth appearance in the NAIA Championship Tournament. The Lions ranked nationally in a myriad of stats, had three players recognized as NAIA All-Americans, and six earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
In his first year aiding the Lady Lions in 2016 the women's soccer team saw their winningest season in recorded history with an overall record of 10-10-2 and 5-5 mark in conference play, while also finishing as Runner-Up in the AAC Tournament.
In 2017, the Lady Lions went 12-7 overall and 9-2 in AAC play enroute to winning their first-ever AAC regular season title. Bryan lost a heartbreaker to Martin Methodist College in the NAIA Championship, 1-0, in overtime.
Branley has also had a chance to develop his coaching skills at the youth level by working at Middle Valley Soccer Association in Chattanooga, Tenn. Before accepting the position at CU, He helped coach youth soccer for the Chattanooga Football Club Academy.
Prior to playing at Bryan College from 2011-2014, Branley competed for academies in England. While at BC, Branley earned many individual playing accolades as a part of the men’s soccer program -- AAC Regular Season MVP, NAIA All-East Region First Team, AAC Tournament MVP, AAC Offensive Player of the Year, and multiple AAC Player of the Week awards.
In his junior year, he finished the season ranked No. 1 in the nation for game winning goals (10) and received All-American honors. Daniel was part of the 2013 AAC regular season and tournament championship winning side.
Overall throughout his career, Branley scored 35 career goals, including 16 his junior season. He also accounted for 82 total points for the Lions.
Branley holds the NSCAA National Diploma and USSF National D license and is currently working towards the C license. He's also furthering his education by studying for his master's degree in Sports Management through Bryan.
Branley is married to the former Katie Shaffer.
