Kirchhoff grew up in Frankfort, Illinois with his brother Kyle and sister Allie. He played three seasons at Trinity Christian College from 2016-18. There, Kirchhoff was a three-year starter, captain his senior year, a CCAC Scholar-Athlete (2017, 2018), a member of the Athletic Leadership Program for Students, winner of the Keith Albers Award, and a Trinity youth soccer program coach and leader. Kirchhoff earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Exercise Studies from Trinity in 2018 and his Master's in Organizational Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University in 2020.
In addition to his playing career, Kirchhoff has an extensive coaching history. He was the graduate assistant for men's soccer at Olivet Nazarene and the first assistant men's soccer coach and assistant women's soccer coach at Trinity Christian. Kirchhoff also holds a USSF National 'D' Coaching License.
Kirchhoff helped head coach Alex Adams lead the team to their first Mid-South Conference tournament title in the 2022 season. During that stretch, Campbellsville defeated three NAIA Top-15 teams to win the championship. They defeated the 2021 NAIA National Champions in UT Southern in the Mid-South Conference Championship match 3-1.
