Trey Henderson

Entering 2025-26: 2nd year

A Chamblee, Georgia native, Henderson played four years at Chamblee Charter High School from 2004-2008 and was a AAA State Champion in 2008 while also garnering All-District honors individually. He went on to play for seasons for Reinhardt University from 2008-2012 and graduated with his bachelor's in Special Education. Henderson continued his studies at Georgia State University where he earned his Special Education Initial Certification in 2016.

Henderson most recently assisted famed head Coach Dr. Mike Giuliano Henderson of Georgia Gwinnett from 2019 until this year. There, Henderson also served as Women's Soccer GPS Director. During his time at Georgia Gwinnett, Henderson helped the Grizzlies to two Continental Conference Championships, two Associations of Independent Instititions Championships, and five NAIA National Tournament appearances. He has had a consistent winning record at Academy, Select, ECNL, and collegiate levels across his career.

Additionally, Henderson was the girls and boys ECNL Head Coach and Age-Group Coordinator for over a decade for Atlanta Fire United. He also was the Olympic Development Program Staff Coach in Atlanta where he coached high-level Georgia players in a national process for identifying and developing the best youth soccer players in a process that ultimately promotes players to the U.S. National Soccer Teams. Henderson holds a USSF 'C' Coaching License and a National Youth License to boot.

In the 2024 season, Henderson was named the Mid-South Conference Assistant Coach of the Year. The team had the best record in program history of 18-2-1 while defeating UNOH to move onto the NAIA Championship site in Pensacola, Florida.Â
