Patrick Sonsteng enters his second year as the graduate assistant for both the men's and women's swimming programs.

The grad assistant's job description leaves no stone unturned, and Coach Casey Smith sees immeasurable opportunity as Sonsteng brings new ideas to the Tiger and Lady Tiger programs.

Sonsteng was a communications major in college and will be studying for his master's in business administration.

He attended Santa Rosa Junior College for two years where he was a member of the 2012 state championship team. At Concordia, Sonsteng swam the 100- and 200-meter breaststrokes and the sprint freestyle events. He was a Champion of Character at Concordia, a team captain and national qualifier, scoring points at nationals.
