Director of athletics Rusty Hollingsworth announced the addition of Kristen Hamrick as the first full-time women's tennis coach in program history in September 2016.

Hamrick, who played at Campbellsville from 2010-2012, takes over the women's program and Kyle Caven will focus solely on the men's team.

Hamrick returns to Campbellsville after a two-year stint as a player with the Lady Tigers. During her time, she was named Mid-South Conference honorable mention and helped lead the Lady Tigers to their second-consecutive regular season championship in 2011.

She was also named a second-team NCCAA All-American in her sophomore season and earned Dean's List honors while also being named an Academic All-Conference performer in the classroom.

After Hamrick's two years at CU, she transferred to the University of Kentucky where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education and graduated in 2014.

Hamrick then returned to Anderson County High School, where she was an All-State performer during her prep career, to coach the Lady Bearcats for two seasons. During her career there, she coached two players that went on to play college tennis – Hannah Wampler (University of the Cumberlands) and Ally Hayes (Midway).

While playing for Anderson County, Hamrick played as the No. 1 for the Lady Bearcats and ranked No. 13 in the state in Girls 18 singles. She finished as the 8th Region runner-up in singles and played in the state tournament her senior season.

Hamrick is currently pursuing a Master's in the Carver School of Social Work and Counseling at Campbellsville.
