As the primary photographer for CU athletics, Pierce takes photos at most Campbellsville home events and select road events.
He leads student interns learning photography and is the main contact for the track and field and cross country programs.
Pierce has been able to capture championships moments for a couple of CU programs. In 2021, Pierce earned his first honor as the photographer for Campbellsville with one of his images making the finals list in the World Sport Photography Awards. Since then he has had multiple images make the finals in 2022 and 2023. He earned the bronze medal in the World Sport Photography Awards in 2024 for the category of Athletics.
Along with in-game photos, he has also captured the images of special Campbellsville athletics events, coach/student-athlete headshots, and worked photo shoots of athletes that go into graphics for campbellsvilletigers.com and Tiger social media pages.
Pierce was a four-year athlete on the cross country team as well as a runner track and field team for distance events. Combined between the two teams, Pierce accumulated a long list of accolades that included multiple All-American honors, conference titles, team, and academic honors.
