Entering 2021-22: 4th Year
Shawn Canada will enter his fourth year as the head coach for archery at Campbellsville University after being named to the position on April 17, 2018.
In his first season leading the program in 2018-19, Canada helped lead the Tigers to three medals at the Mid-South Conference 3D Championship and two podium finishes at the 3D National Championship.
Individuals found success under Canada's direction as well as freshman Rachel Woosley earned a National Championship by winning the Basic Bow Divison of the United State Intercollegiate Indoor Archery Championships. Woosley's win was the first ever National Championship in the history of the archery program. Woosley also earned a gold medal at the Mid-South Conference Indoor Archery Championships.
Canada, a Campbellsville native and owner of Crazy Horse Archery & Tackle, has 25 years of archery experience. He competed for a little over 11 years in ASA competitions and is currently coaching the Taylor County Middle School's National Archery in Schools Program for the previous 15 years. In addition, he's a member of the Scholastic 3D Association for the past three seasons.
Canada graduated from Taylor County High School in 1987 and graduated with an Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering from United Electronics Institute in 1988-90.
