Clements and Doram named First-Team; Faulkner and Gregory earn Second-Team MSC honors

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — The Mid-South Conference announced the yearly women's basketball awards at tonight's banquet and Campbellsville University had four Lady Tigers earn All-Conference honors.

Jordan Doram and Madison Clements both earned First-Team All-MSC mentions, while Madison Faulkner and Savannah Gregory were named to the Second-Team.

In addition, Gregory earned the Champions of Character award for women's basketball and that story can be found HERE.

Outside of missing a couple games due to an ankle injury, Clements has been a mainstay at the top of the scoring list for CU. The redshirt senior from Clementsville, Tenn. leads CU by averaging 11.6 points per game and has hit a team-high 45 3-point baskets. Clements has dropped double-figure nights on third occasions this season, including three 20-point games and a career-high 25 vs. Life University on Jan. 13. Her defense has played a contributing factor in the Lady Tigers' success as well by ranking No. 26 in the country with 63 steals and 2.3 steals per game.

Lastly, Clements became the 34th Lady Tiger to surpass 1,000 career points. She enters the MSC Tournament with 1,087 points.

Doram, a junior from Georgetown College, has been a force in the paint as of late. Averaging 10.9 points per game and hitting shots at a 61 percent clip, Doram has become one of the best forwards in the country. In eight of the last 10 games to end the regular season, Doram has pitched in double figure points with a season-high 19 vs. Cumberland University on Feb. 22. In the last six games, she is averaging 16 points per game for CU.

On the second team is a couple of underclassmen – Madison Faulkner and Savannah Gregory.

Faulkner has been an offensive weapon the Lady Tigers needed this season. Averaging just under 10 points per game, Faulkner met or surpassed her career-high in five-straight games. From Jab. 25 to Feb. 17, Faulkner has scored 130 of her 292 points and averaged 21.6 in those six contests. In addition, Faulkner leads the Lady Tigers by grabbing 4.6 rebounds per game.

Gregory shined at the beginning of the season in a big way. She started the season scoring in double figures in nine of the first 10 games – including a career-high 19 points vs. Montana State-Northern on Nov. 24. Gregory currently ranks No. 3 in the NAIA and first in the MSC in steals (86) and No. 8 in the country in steals per game (2.8).

The MSC also recognized Kayla Styles (Player of the Year), Gerda Paulauskaite (Randy Vernon Defensive Player of the Year) and Reagan Turner (Freshman of the Year). In addition, Shawnee State head coach Jeff Nickel earned the Coach of the Year honor after leading the Bears to a 27-3 record and perfect 14-0 in MSC play.

The Lady Tigers open the MSC Tournament in Thursday, March 2 at 2 p.m. ET as they face Georgetown College in the quarterfinal at the Eastern Ky. Expo Center in Pikeville, Ky. A complete preview will follow tonight.
