Campbellsville, Kentucky - The 15th ranked Campbellsville University Tigers were upset at home tonight by Mid-South Conference rival Lindsey Wilson College 60-57.
Campbellsville built a ten point lead in the first half on two occasions, but Lindsey Wilson cut it to 34-31 at halftime in favor of the Tigers. Lindsey regained the lead at the 6:04 mark when Stefan Juzbasic scored off a Tiger turnover to make the score 49-48 and would never look back. The Blue Raiders built a seven point lead but Campbellsville tied the game at 57 with 1:21 to play when
Troy Harris (JR/Georgetown, KY) hit a three-pointer.
However, Lindsey's George White would nail a three pointer with :17 remaining and Campbellsville missed a last second opportunity to tie the game. White led all scorers with 31 points while Campbellsville was led by Nestor Colemenares (JR/Caracas, Venezuela) with 17 points.
The loss marked the first time all season that the Tigers have lost back to back games and the team fell to 17-5, and more importantly 0-2 in the Mid-South Conference. Lindsey improved to 13-8 and is 1-1 in MSC play.
Campbellsville travels to 10th ranked Pikeville on Saturday afternoon for a 4:00 p.m. tip-off.
