Tiger Soccer Loses First Game of Season To 2nd Ranked Lindsey Wilson 4-0

Box Score
The Campbellsville University Men's Soccer team suffered its first loss of the season yesterday in a 4-0 setback to the NAIA's 2nd ranked team, Lindsey Wilson College.

"We had a great effort today, even though we played without our two leading scorers, and I think that we have clearly shown that our program is on the rise.  Our guys played hard against one of the best teams in the nation and hopefully we'll get a chance to meet them again later this season in the Mid-South Conference Tournament," said CU Coach Adam Preston.

Campbellsville had four shots on goal and the 7 keeper saves kept the score from being much worse on the day while Lindsey Wilson scored on 4 of their 10 shots on goal.

Campbellsville's 11 game winning streak was the longest in school history and the best start ever to a Men's Soccer season.

The Tigers now face Spalding on Friday at 5:00 p.m. at the Tiger soccer field.
