Lady Tigers Finish as MSC Runner Up; Cumberlands Game on Wednesday Ruled as Tie

Campbellsville's Lady Tiger Soccer team fnished as the Mid-South Conference Tournament Runner up, losing 11-0 last night in Columbia to the #1 ranked team in the NAIA, Lindsey Wilson College.
 
The University has also been notified that Wednesday's shootout victory over Cumberlands is officially declared as a tie.   According to the NAIA rules, "all statistics that occur during overtime count toward team and individual totals. However, if the game reaches the point where a tiebreaker procedure of taking kicks from the penalty-kick line or spot occurs, no statistics- goals or saves - count toward team or individual totals.  All contests decided by the tiebreaker procedure of taking kicks from the penalty-kick line or spot shall be counted as ties for each team's overall record. The score shall be recorded as a tie.In the case that the national championship game must be decided by the tiebreaker procedure of taking kicks from the penalty-kick line or spot, the resultshall determine a winner and a loser for each team's overall record
Campbellsville's record stands at 12-6-3 and the Lady Tigers are awaiting word from the NCCAA about post-season play which should come later this weekend.
