Tigers Lose Back to Back Games at Jim Faulkner Classic

18th ranked Campbellsville lost a pair of games over the weekend in the Jim Faulkner Classic at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama.
 
Campbellsville lost to 21st ranked Auburn-Montgomery on Friday night by a score of 83-73 in double overtime.    Despite shooting just 9% from the three point line in the first half and getting down 14-0 to start the game, the Tigers fought back and shot 46% from the floor in the second half and had chances to win the game at the end of regulation and the first overtime.    Allender had 22 points and 15 rebounds and while Aaron Wyatt tallied 16 points.
   
 
On Saturday, Campbellsville found itself locked into a fierce battle with the homestanding Faulkner Eagles.    Again, struggling to just 10% three point shooting in the first half, the Tigers maintained a 2 point lead, 24-22 at the break. 
 
Faulkner would battle back and take the lead with :02 remaining at 59-57 and Allender missed a three-pointer at the buzzer that sealed the game as a loss.
 
Alledner ended up with 17 points and 8 boards on the night as the Tigers fell to 1-2 on the season.  Campbellsville plays at WKU in an exhibition on Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m.
