Lady Tiger Basketball Falls to 14-10 With 94-69 Road Loss at Cumberlands

Williamsburg, Kentucky -  Cumberlands used a 10-2 run to end the first half and coasted to a 94-67 win over Campbellsville's Lady Tigers tonight in a Mid-South Conference battle in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
 
Campbellsville led 12-11 with 15:12 to play in the first frame however Cumberlands spread the lead to 8, 20-12 at the 7:53 mark.  The Lady Tigers battled back to within four, 26-22 with 2:24 to play when the Lady Patriots hit the 10 to 2 run to lead 36-26 at halftime.


Campbellsvile would get no closer than the ten point halftime margin in the second half as the Lady Patriots blistered the nets at 61.3% in the second half, including 6 of 9 from the three point line.  Cumberlands also outrebounded Campbellsville by a 47-29 margin.
 
Campbellsville was led by the 13 point performances of Alexia Williams (FR/Campbellsville, KY) and Courtney Danis (FR/Mt. Sterling, KY), while Kristi Ensminger (SO/Kingston Springs, TN) added 12 points and Melly Heaton (FR/Princeton, KY) scored 11 points in the game.
 
The Lady Tigers fall to 14-10 overall and are 1-3 in Mid-South Conference play.  Campbellsville hosts defending Mid-South Conference Champion West Virginia Tech on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
