Courtney Danis (FR/Mt. Sterling, KY)poured in 38 points while
Melly Heaton (FR/Princeton, KY) had 26 as Campbellsville beat West Virginia Tech today 91-81 in a Mid-South Conference game.
The game was tied 41-41 at halftime after the Lady Golden Bears shot 61.5% in the first half. However, Campbellsville came out in the second half and shot 57.7%while holding WV Tech to 47% shooting to get its second Mid-South Conference win of the season. The Lady Tigers are now two games out of first place in the Mid-South Conference as there is a three team tie at the top of the league standings. Lindsey Wilson, Georgetown and Cumberlands are all 3-1 followed by Campbellsville at 2-3 in league play.
Danis also had 11 rebounds in the game and
Kristi Ensminger (SO/Kingston Springs, TN) had 16 points in the win.
Campbellsville improves to 15-10 and with the win equals last years total number of wins. The Lady Tigers finished 15-15 last season.
Campbellsville will host Georgetown on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
