Mt. Sterling, KY - The Campbellsville University Men's Golf team cruised to an eight stroke win over second place Cumberland University today in the annual Campbellsville Spring Invitational at Old Silo Golf Course.
The Tigers led the two day event after shooting a team score of 295 in round one on Monday and shaved one stroke off that score with a 294 on the second day for a total of 589. Cumberland University scored 597 while the University of the Cumberlands was third with a two day total of 612. Six teams participated.
Campbellsville's
Jeff Gumm won his second tournament of the season by shooting a two day total of 144. He tied with Campbellsville's
Jeff Sullivan and won a play-off hole as the tandem finished 1-2 in the tournament.
The Tigers will play on March 20th in the Union University Invitational in Jackson, TN.
