Women's Basketball Wins Second Conference Game in a Row

The Lady Tiger Basketball team just keeps on rolling.  They sit atop the Mid South Conference with a record of 2-0 in league and sit with a staggering 16-3 overall record.  They continued to roll on Saturday in front of a large home crowd that watched the Tigers take care of business versus Georgetown as they won in convincing fashion 77-67.


The Tigers got off to a hot start outscoring Georgetown 39-30 in the first half.
 
In the second half, the Tigers continued to play strong, outscoring their opponent by one point, sealing the ten point victory.  For Campbellsville, Sophomore Whitney Ballinger continued to dominate her oppenents.  The 6'3 Center brought down 14 rebounds and added 15 points.  Other high scorer was sophomore Courtney Danis who contributed a team high 17 points.
 
The Tigers look to continue their momentum high as they will host Lindsey Wilson this Thursday (January 22nd) in the Powell Athletic Center.  Tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
