The University of the Cumberlands rallied from a two-goal deficit in the second half to knock off Campbellsville University, 5-3, Tuesday and gain ground for second place in the Mid-South Conference women's soccer standings.

Mandel put the Lady Tigers on the board in the 10

The Patriots evened the score with 6:08
to play in the first half, as Jessica Posey connected with Janelle McSurley for
a goal, but Laura Swencki answered with a goal less than two minutes later to
give Campbellsville a 2-1 lead at the half.

Yannelli made it a 3-1 game in the 56th minute with an unassisted
goal, but minutes later, the game began to shift. Cumberlands answered in the 58th
minute with a goal by Katie Hefelfinger. Leslie Allred tied the game in the 68th
minute and took the lead in the 70th minute. Allred went on to
assist an insurance goal by Jamie Roberts with 19 minutes to play.
Sarah Akers had six saves for Campbellsville, while Brittney Gadd had four for Cumberlands.
CU (8-4-1) is scheduled to host Midway College on Oct. 20 at 4 p.m.
