After losing the first two of four matches over the weekend, the Campbellsville University volleyball team is now on a four-match roll.
St. Catharine was the most recent victim, losing a double header Tuesday night in straight games as CU improved its record to 22-7 (9-1).
As far as the conference regular-season race is concerned, the wins set up a big match (7 p.m.) on Monday against conference-leading Georgetown.
Campbellsville won its six games against the Lady Patriots by an average of 13 points. In Match 1, the Lady Tigers won 25-9, 25-6 and 25-19.
In game two, Caitlin Dressing (who was injured in the second game of the second match and did not return) served seven consecutive points.
St. Catharine could never get closer than three points in the third game as CU pulled away, led by sophomore
Lilian DaSilva's 45 assists.
Shannon Cahill,
Renee Netherton and
Samantha James had 12, 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Dressing had 10 digs in the first three games.
St. Catharine (11-20, 0-8) was tied at 18-all in the first game of the second match, but the Lady Tigers went on 7-1 run to put that game away. After that it was all Campbellsville as the Lady Tigers nearly won by identical scores, 25-13 and 25-12.
As part of Campbellsville's homecoming weekend, the Lady Tiger will host Trevecca at 5:00 Saturday.
