Tiger soccer holds off Shawnee State, 1-0

Box Score An early second half goal by Jamie Allen proved to be all Campbellsville University needed to beat Shawnee State University in a Mid-South Conference soccer game Saturday, 1-0.



Allen scored his 17th goal of the season off a Gustavo Valecillos assist in the 50th minute for the Tiger lead. The goal tied Lindsey Wilson College forward Carnell Learmond for the most goals in the Mid-South Conference.

James Clements collected the shutout win in goal for CU with seven saves. Shawnee's keeper Kevin Fischer also had seven saves.

Campbellsville (13-3, 5-3 MSC) travels to Tennessee Wesleyan for its final regular season road game Oct. 26. Game time is 3 p.m. ET.
