A pair of personal best rounds of golf, along with a team record for low round Tuesday led Campbellsville University to a fourth-place finish at the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational in Rome, Ga.
Campbellsville rallied from a sixth-place round of 331 on Monday to shoot a school record 314 Tuesday, beating the previous team best by three strokes.
"They knew they were better than what they shot yesterday and wanted to prove it. They're a very competitive team," CU head coach Lindsey Hines said. "This is the most talent we've ever had. We're deep, and we're young. Overall, it's another great day to be a Lady Tiger."
Shorter University won the tournament with a two-day score of 627. The Hawks shot a tournament low round score of 310 on Tuesday.

Katie White entered the final day in first-place following a first-day round of 73 - her personal best. The Prince Edward Island, Canada native shot 77 on Tuesday though to finish third overall with a two-day total of 150. She was one stroke behind University of the Cumberlands golfer McKenzie Price. White led all competitors with eight birdies and was -2 on par fives for the tournament.
In addition to White's personal best, freshman
MeLeigha Pollock also shot a personal best 78 during Tuesday's first round. That moved her from fifth to third for the Lady Tigers and 25th overall.
Kaela Smith was second for CU and 14th overall with scores of 83 and 78.
Kayla Kincer was the fourth score for CU with a two-day total of 168, while
Amy Cline shot 176 in the tournament.
The Lady Tigers conclude their fall schedule and will resume play in March during Spring Break.
