Wind blows Lady Tiger golf scores sky high

Playing in a steady mist and in some serious wind for most of the day, the Lady Tiger golfers sit in third place in the Mid-South Conference Championship at Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Ky.

The second round will be played Tuesday starting with 8:30 a.m. tee times.

Campbellsville is 26 strokes behind first place Lindsey Wilson and 19 behind Cumberlands.



Katie White was low for the Lady Tigers with an 84 (39-45), and Kaela Smith had an 86 (42-44). Shelly Minix (44-43) and Jordan Johnson (43-44) both had 87s to round out the scoring. Lauren Goodin shot an 88 (42-46).

Campbellsville is 19 strokes clear of fourth place Georgetown and 83 shots clear of last place St. Catharine. Pikeville had a girl to withdraw and their team score could not be counted.

Standings

Lindsey Wilson 318; Cumberlands 325; Campbellsville 344; Georgetown 363; and St. Catharine 427.
