Campbellsville holds Lindsey Wilson scoreless for a half in 3-0 loss

Box Score Campbellsville University kept fifth-ranked Lindsey Wilson College at bay for 63 minutes Tuesday night before the Blue Raiders put together a 3-0 win in the final third of the game.


Mia Persson, who unloaded five goals in the 2009 matchup with Campbellsville, broke the scoreless tie in the 64th minute with an unassisted goal for the Blue Raiders. She went on to add goals in the 75th and 86th minutes of the game for her first hat trick of the season. Caitlin Burke and Elizabet Madjarac assisted her second and third goals.

Campbellsville had one shot on goal in the game, but Megan Campbells' attempt was blocked by LWC goalkeeper Jordan Morrison. Cassie Yannelli had the only other two shots for CU in the game, as the Lady Tigers were held without a shot in the first half.

Brandie Hagerman had eight saves for CU, facing six shots on goal in the second half.

Campbellsville (2-3) travels to Lebanon, Tenn., Thursday to take on Cumberland University at 3 p.m. ET.
