Campbellsville University men's golf maintained its third-place standing in the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament Tuesday at Dale Hollow State Park.
The Tigers shot 302 on Tuesday, leaving them in fourth overall at the Lindsey Wilson Classic, which also counted as the regular season MSC Fall Tournament for the conference teams involved.
After Monday's opening round, Campbellsville was tied for third overall with St. Catherine College with an opening round score of 300. CU was only two strokes behind host Lindsey Wilson College, but the Blue Raiders shot the best team score in Tuesday's round with a 284 to maintain its second-place finish. For the tournament, the University of the Cumberlands was first with a 578 score, followed by Lindsey Wilson's 582, then non-conference opponent Trevecca Nazarene University with a 600. Campbellsville's two-day score was 602, while Georgetown College was one stroke back in fifth with a 603.
Scott Foster was closest to par Tuesday, shooting a 73 in the final round to bump him to a 16th overall finish individually after shooting 77 Monday.
Trey Shirley led the Tigers with an 11th place finish after shooting 71 Monday and 76 Tuesday.
Tanner Mobley was two shots over par Tuesday with a 74 and finished 21st with a two-day score of 153.
Brandon Collier and
Logan Griffin followed for the Tigers, shooting 156 and 157, respectively.
Campbellsville will host the Don Bishop Invitational at the Campbellsville Country Club Sept. 27-28.
